Peterlin Resigns from USPTO

From a USPTO press release:

Margaret J.A. Peterlin, deputy under secretary of Commerce for Intellectual
Property and deputy director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office
(USPTO), has announced that she will be leaving the USPTO in August with plans
to pursue employment opportunities in the private sector.

wow - this is a TREMENDOUS loss to the entire patent community.
how will the USPTO be able to find a replacement to fill these giant shoes ???

Not to worry, anonymous: rumor inside the beltway is that Dudas is actively pursuing Monica Goodling as her replacement.
